A mobile coffee shop!

So, the plan is to convert the campervan into a coffee shop so we can sell coffee at the chapel over the summer. We also want to be set up with electricity and gas so we can travel. This will hopefully make us a bit of money, but also show we are a viable business to help us apply for more grants.

It sounds simple... And we're still pretending like it's going to be!

Due to our limited knowledge of DIY campervan conversions we have enlisted an incredible friend to help and we'll hopefully be keeping a diary of our adventures.

Week 1: The easy bit - ripping out the old!

The plan was to remove the kitchen unit, shelves and seat without damaging it. It turned out the guy we bought it off did a fantastic job of making it to last! He used screws AND glue to ensure it was secured so it was a bit tricky. We managed it with only one split skirting board, and it’s on eBay to try and get some cash back.

Our homework was to:

1- Watch George Clark’s amazing spaces for research

2- Come up with design ideas.

We are reconvening next Tuesday to discuss with red wine! So who knows what will happen next...

Watch this space!
